201 ELE Class 200 · Puzzle

11-11

A block puzzle about space. You move coloured, numbered blocks around a grid to join matching pairs and clear lines before the board fills up. It suits players who prefer thinking a move ahead to reacting quickly.

How it plays

The board is a grid. Coloured blocks carry numbers, and your moves consist of selecting a block, dragging it and placing it somewhere free on the grid.

Placing identical blocks together combines them, and completing lines clears space. There is no timer pushing you: the pressure comes from the board itself, because every move that does not clear space leaves less room for the next.

The game ends when the board is too full to continue, so a good session is one long exercise in keeping options open.

Tips for a first session

1.

Keep one area of the grid as open as possible and build pairs away from it.

2.

Before placing a block, check where the next one could go. A move that blocks every future space is worse than a move that clears nothing.

3.

Clear lines early when you can; waiting for a bigger combination tends to fill the board.

4.

There is no clock, so take your time on each placement.

Worth knowing

—

It is slow and quiet by design; players looking for action may find it static.

—

Mistakes add up gradually, so a session can end several moves after the real error.

—

It works well with a mouse and equally well on a touch screen.
